Fundraisers have BIG IDEAS beyond figuring out another way to say “transformative gift”. We see the BIG picture within our organizations and understand how relationships produce resources that change lives for the better. As a fundraiser have you ever had an idea, a BIG IDEA, that could impact the greater good? Are current fundraising and philanthropy methods keeping your BIG IDEA stuck in your head? Through conversations in this session we will:

• Activate our fundraising brains to seek out new ways to serve nonprofits
• Understand the impact of asking questions that spark BIG IDEAS
• Understand how to activate relationships to bring those ideas to life

Stephen Butler and Gabrielle Butler of The Butlers Did It, LLC will share the story of their BIG IDEA, the Northeast Oklahoma City Nonprofit Incubator and how two fundraisers created a legacy project uplifting nonprofits the communities they serve.

The Butlers Did It is a family-owned consulting firm focused on developing leadership and providing fundraising training for nonprofits. Together, The Butlers have over 30 years combined fundraising experience. Stephen served previously as Chief Development Officer for Fund for Teachers, Assistant Dean for Advancement and External Relations at Oklahoma City University School of Law, and Director of Law Associates at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. Gabrielle served as Director of Development for The LifeShare Foundation, Senior Director of Development for the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, Capital Campaign Manager Oklahoma Contemporary and in development operations roles with University of Southern California and University of California Los Angeles. The biggest and best gift they ever raised continues to be their kids, Ruby and Toussaint.
