January Breakfast
January 8, 2026, 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Oklahoma City Community Foundation (1000 N. Broadway Ave., Oklahoma City)
Members - $20
Non members - $30

What’s your earliest money memory? We’ll kick off this AFP Oklahoma breakfast session with a question that opens the door to surprising insights about how your personal money story shapes the way you fundraise.
Over coffee and conversation, we’ll explore the shift from a scarcity mindset—often rooted in fear, limitation, or past experiences—to an abundance mindset that fuels confidence, generosity, and stronger donor relationships. Through guided reflection, small‑group activities, and practical tools you can put to work the moment you get back to the office, you’ll learn how to reframe limiting beliefs and approach fundraising with renewed clarity and energy.
We’ll also dive into vision casting and the power of neuroscience through manifestation to help you align your mindset with your 2026 goals and create the conditions for meaningful, measurable progress.
Whether you’re a nonprofit leader or development professional, this breakfast session will help you unlock your full potential, deepen your connection to your work, and inspire others to invest boldly in your mission.

Lexi Skaggs is an accomplished nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including work in healthcare, animal welfare, and social services. She currently serves as Senior Director of Development for the Gallogly College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, where she focuses on building and securing major gifts from individuals and alumni to advance engineering education and innovation.
Lexi is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Oklahoma Chapter, reflecting her commitment to ethical fundraising and professional development. Her dedication to community service has earned her recognition as one of OKC Friday’s Most Powerful Young Professionals several years in a row, though she has since removed herself from the running as she feels she’s aged out and “needs to give the young kids some love and recognition”. She served as a committee member for Catholic Charities, where she was honored as 2023 Volunteer of the Year, contributes to the Nexus Equine Special Events Team, and is a proud graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL Class X.
When she’s not connecting donors to causes they care about, Lexi enjoys all versions of coffee, cheering on the Oklahoma Sooner football, softball, and women’s gymnastics teams, routing loudly for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and planning her next travel adventure.
